For my literacy I chose to do writing about the  BFG and we had to retell the story and I enjoyed doing this.

Once upon a time a little girl name Sophie.  was walking into a hallway. and then the girl it was so tired and it walked outside and she saw these three man walking outside. and the man tipped over the rubbish and then they walked away. and then some one put it back up and then the girl opened her eyes so wide that she saw the some one put it back up. and then the giant saw the little girl sophie and then the giant came running  like a cheetah and tried to get the girl.and the giant got the girl and the giant ran as fast as a fast like fast  across a ground,  jumped over the house, rivers , they got to their secret cave and the girl said why did you grab me for.

Cause you might tell everyone and then tell the news lady and then it will be all over the internet and also the news.

And then everyone will come to the cave and break all my stuff. What stuff said the little girl. Ok it’s like science stuff said the giant. Then show me then. Ok.when they got there it was amazing said the girl. Now can we leave. No can you show me how it works. Ok so it's like science. Where Noo ok don't you understand my brothers  will eat you ok i am not going with you  cause my brothers will eat you for sure said the  bfg. No they won't. Yes i am telling you the truth they will eat you for sure. Ok i will go by myself then if you won’t go with me then. After 35 minutes she came back and she was not even eatin. What!! Haven’t you got eaten yet said the BFG. Yes i have not at all giant i will never get eaten anyways said the girl. The next day the giant brothers came over looking for the girl cause she stall something from our home that we live in so we came to crack all your stuff that the stuff that you have and where is your science stuff that you have  it’s you go through a river and you have to pull this stick. So then the giant grabbed the girl the girl and put here in a good hiding spot that they won’t know. The biggest giant sniffed the girl and he found the girl’s blanket and then sniffed the blanket and then sniffed it and then sniffed the girl and then he got the girl where she was. And then the girl ran into the water pipes and then he smashed the pipes and then she landed on a tree inside the cave  and then the giant said where’s the girl. The brothers said the girl is here so the brothers spread out then came walking towards the the pipes and the tree and then the girl just jumped out of the tree and then ran as fast as she can and then ran to the the giant’s pocket and then the the brothers said I can smell the girl cause I have the  blanket and then brother's gathered around the blanket  and the  brothers said I think i can smell the girl it’s on in the tree I think yes let’s crowd the tree so that she can’t get out of the tree and the brothers put their eye in every hole and then the biggest brother said no she is not in the hole and the brothers check every where and the giant said get out and the the giant grab a bucket  of a hot water and he tipped it on the brother’s and then the brothers ran as fast as they can and then the brothers went back to their rusty old grass house and the blacket the sleep with is grass and the warm thing is the dirt.

In Rimu we have being doing art and there were three option's. They was sketching, digital art, giraffe groups and the group I went with was  sketching because I love drawing and sketching. The challenging part was when I had to draw the cup's circle.  The easiest  part was when I had to do the handle.

 In maths we have been learning  about dividing and putting 2 beans into 10 bags and the answer I came up with was 20. In maths we have been learning about 5 times tables like 5x4 and the answer I came up with is 20 because I knew that because I counted  five four times and that's how I figured out how to do that and also we have been learning ten times table's as well like  10x10 and the answer I came up with was 100 cause I already know them all.

last week we were working on our colour poem  and today i have finished it.

First I had to choose a colour...I chose BLUE

Then I had to think about things that are blue and adjectives to describe them.

then I had to use verbs to describe what my thing was doing.

some verbs were tackling, crunching and floating

I also used some adverbs like` peacefully,happily,

Blue is the colour of….

• The  blues rugby team tackling the highlanders
• the sky floating in the wind peacefully
• Strong waves hitting the sand
• The fierce bulls rugby team running to the scoreline
• A huge baby blue whale swimming deeply in the sea
• cookie monster happily crunching blue cookies!

My holiday

On my holidays me and my family went to the movies. on Friday  we watched the BFG and it was  so cool because we ate Chocolate ice cream, pop corn, and  drinks my mum had coke and my dad had coke as well and I had sprite and my sister had Fanta. When the movie started me and my sister were walking around and we were just siting in the front of my dad and mum. and at the end of the movie everyone just walked out of there seat and then just walked to the exit. and we went to the fish 'n' chip shop and it was so yummy. I love school holidays because I get to spend more time with my family.
It was fun at the movies it was my first time at the movies and it was a big crowd and we sat at the very top because we thought we might hurt our ears.  It took so long, it took 2 hours but I fell asleep in the parts. and this part was so funny cause the BFG had to eat with a big fork,

Describe your passion project. What was your learning in it? What were you trying to produce?

I was trying to produce a report about  Nehe-milner Skudder.

How far did you get with your passion project?  What would have helped you to get further?

I was close to finishing.                                                Using my Absorption muscle would have made it easier.

What was the most challenging part of your passion project?

       Finding all the stuff about Nehe-milner Skudder.

What was surprising about your passion project?

Being so close to finishing.

Did you follow your plan well? Why or why not?

 I followed it but sometimes not. I got distracted and that wasn’t part of the plan.                              

Which learning muscles did you use the most while you were working on your passion project? How did you use each one?

Absorption            because people were talking to me and I kept on working.

We run around the field  and my other things were P.E cause we got to play fun soccer but with different rules. I will tell you how to play: so there's 3 teams and 1 team goes to train  and the 2 teams gets to play and the color of the bibs are red,yellow,green.  The team that was training get's to practice until about 4 or 3 min and then the team comes in and play the team that won. If it was a tie, they would have to paper, scissor's  rock  and who ever wins gets to vs the team that they already played.

I am proud of this because… I tried my best changing some words in my letter and changed my I’s  

My biggest challenge was… I didn't know what to write.  

Thanks for taking three days of work and driving us to where we supposed to go and to camp. Thanks for turning the music up when we wanted to sing the music. and  tIll  we got there.  Where we had to go. And helping me when I wasn't in your group.  and telling me what to do In  when I got to weka. And telling me it wasn't scared  on the weka bridge cause I was scared  and it was shaking.

And I thought it will fall.

At the bamboo forest found a real bamboo stick. and we put and I went to play with it and I went in the base and left It there so nobody gets it  and I went to get some sticks. to put in the base. So my base friends can not steal it because that’s the game.
